photo was taken by wildlife photographer Gary Jones at Zimanga Private Game Reserve in South Africa. In photo, warthog seems to be enjoying afteron sun along with a flock of red-billed oxpeckers sitting on its back and clinging to or parts of its body. im is very reminiscent of a scene from 1994 animated classic that gave fans first look at iconic duo of an over top warthog and a witty meerkat, kwn as Timon and Pumba.

im shared by Jones instantly went viral once it was posted on Facebook. Jones who hales from rth Wales in Britain stated that he ed photo primarily because of colourful birds sitting on top of warthog and that it me for a picturesque sight. He himself was t aware of similarity between his picture and that of Pumba until people on net pointed it out to him.
Jones wrote on Facebook that comparison did t register at time and having seen Lion King a few years ago he was slow on uptake.
