In what seemed like a re-created sequence of the famous movie franchise 'Planet of Apes', a chimpanzee attempted to escape a zoo in China on Friday.
The ape escaped from his enclosure in Hefei Wildlife Park in Hefei, China. What followed later was unfettered confusion and utter chaos as the ape charged at visitors. But the highlight of this whole event is that the chimpanzee even kicked an employee. The 12-year old ninja-worthy chimp is named Yang Yang landed a kick on an employee's body strong enough to put him on the ground. A video uploaded by China Television Global Network (CGTN) shows the events that unfolded in the zoo. Here's the video:

However, Yang Yang's taste for freedom was short-lived as he was spotted making his way on the roof and evading capture for sometime. However, authorities shot Yang with a tranquilizer dart and he was later returned to his cage. As per reports, the daring chimp attempted the 'prison break' by climbing up a fallen bamboo tree. Following his escape, cops were called to the scene and visitors evacuated the wildlife park. Even so, Yang charged towards curious onlookers. The authorities decided to use the tranquilizer dart after they failed at persuading him to return to his enclosure. No one was injured during the incident, authorities said.
