Istanbul - As ravaging Israel-Hamas war completes 100 days, Chief of Political Bureau of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, called for formation of a global alliance to support resistance forces in ongoing conflict. proclamation from Hamas chief came during his virtual address at Freedom for Palestine conference which is being held in Istanbul, Turkey, TRT World reported. During his speech, Hamas chief insisted that Israel's “crimes” in Gaza should be “exposed” and went on to ask for more humanitarian aid to coastal enclave. He called for formation of Freedom and Justice Alliance for Palestine to counter Israeli occupation in region. 

“A strong global alliance must be formed to support Palestinian resistance and actively eng with it. We are in a phase where traditional approaches are t suitable for action,” Hamas chief said during peace conference. Haniyeh insisted that alliance would aim to break what he called “17-year siege on Gaza”. He also urged garing to establish a humanitarian alliance to provide relief to Palestinians in enclave. Sunday marked 100 days of Israel-Hamas war which commenced following October 7 massacre. Ever since beginning of war, Western countries like United States and United Kingdom supported Israeli cause insisting that country has “right to defend itself”. On Sunday, Biden released a thought-provoking statement in which he shared plight of hosts who have been in Hamas captivity for 100 days.

“Today, we mark a devastating and tragic milestone—100 days of captivity for more than 100 incent people, including as many as 6 Americans, who are still held host by Hamas in Gaza. For 100 days, y have existed in fear for ir lives, t kwing what tomorrow will bring. For 100 days, ir families have lived in agony, praying for safe return of ir loved ones,” US President said in a statement which was released by White House on Sunday. “I will never forget grief and suffering I have heard in my meetings with families of American hosts. one should have to endure even one day of what y have gone through, much less 100.  On this terrible day, I again reaffirm my pledge to all hosts and ir families—we are with you. We will never stop working to bring Americans home,” he concluded. 

Hamas chief calls Zionism a ‘dangerous movement’ 

During his address, Hamas chief called Zionism one of “most dangerous movements kwn to humanity". He insisted that Palestinians don't harbour enmity it's Zionists who are focusing on occupying Palestinian land. “We do t harbour enmity towards Jews. Rar, we oppose Zionist movement that has occupied our land and displaced our people,” he said. “We are t advocates of war but seekers of freedom...Hamas remains committed to unity of land, people and cause," Hamas chief furred.

Haniyeh's attack on Zionism did t stop re, Hamas chief ted that radical faction in Israel is implementing a colonial project that targets land, people and holy sites throughout Palestine.  He called it a political, ecomic, social, cultural, religious and military colonisation, TRT World reported. It is important to te that ever since commencement of Israel-Hamas war, at least 23,968 Palestinians have been killed in ravaging battle. According to United Nations, 85 per cent of population of Gaza is already internally displaced amid acute shorts of food, clean water and medicine, while 60 per cent of enclave’s infrastructure is damd or destroyed.
