'Where is he?': Benjamin Netanyahu questioned over son Yair’s stay in US amid Hamas war

Recently universities in Israel decided to delay start of academic year until massive call-up of reserve soldiers ends, Times of Israel reported. Previously, semester, which was scheduled to begin on October 15, was delayed until vember 5. call-up of some 360,000 Israel Defence Forces reservists includes thousands of staff and students, according to committee, cited Times of Israel report. About 30 per cent of all university students are among those who are w serving.

‘Where is prime minister's son?’

'Yair is enjoying his life at Miami Beach while I'm on front lines,' one soldier, a volunteer serving on Israel's rrn front, was quoted as saying by Times. “It's us who are leaving our work, our families, our kids, to protect our families back home and country, t people who are responsible for this situation,” he said.

“Our brors, our fars, sons, are all going to front line, but Yair is still t here. It does t help build trust in leadership of country,” he continued. Ar reservist, who left his family and job and returned back to Israel from US, leaving his job and family re, also echoed same concern.

“re is way I can stay re and abandon my country, my people, at this critical time. Where is prime minister's son? Why isn't he in Israel? It is most uniting moment for us as Israelis in our recent history and every single one of us should be here right w, including prime minister's son,” he said.

Yair fulfilled his mandatory military service in Israel by working within IDF's spokesman's unit after pursuing a high school education in atre. He however didn’t take on a combat role.
