New Delhi: David Dutch, a 57-year-old Marine veteran and one of two survivors of July 13 assassination attempt on former President Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, has shared his first comments since being discharged from Allegheny County General Hospital last month. Dutch was shot twice while in bleachers behind Trump's stage when shooting began at 6:11 p.m. on July 13.
"David, his wife, Sheree, and rest of Dutch family wish to express ir sincerest gratitude for enormous level of support that y have received from ir friends, ir fellow Americans, and everyone else, wher domestic or abro, that have kept David and his family in ir prayers," Fox News quoted a statement from Dutch family, which was provided through ir lawyer.

Dutch h suffered gunshot injuries to his chest and liver while he was positioned behind stage during Trump's speech. He was initially placed in a medically induced coma for treatment.
In a statement to Fox News, Dutch and his wife also expressed gratitude towards " brave men and women that saved his life, including, but not limited to, police officers, medics, life flight crew, and medical professionals of Allegheny General Hospital, as well as those who continue to care for him as he navigates ro to recovery."

David Dutch and his family also conveyed ir condolences to family of Corey Comperatore, who lost his life shielding his wife and daughters from gunshots at rally. y also lauded James Copenhaver, who survived two gunshot wounds while exercising his right to support a political candidate.
He (Dutch) n expressed his gratitude to Trump, who remained stefast despite danger, continuing his mission to rebuild United States and restore its position as world's leing economic and military power. "President Trump, did not cower in face of danger and continues his fight to make America great again and restore America’s position as most powerful and economically sound country in world," statement re.

Recently, a Pakistani citizen was charged in a complex plot that resembles a spy thriller, aimed at assassinating Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. On Tuesday, US Attorney General Merrick Garland announced charges against Asif Raza Merchant, though he did not explicitly name Trump as target.
Garland noted that Justice Department has been actively working to counter Iran's persistent efforts to retaliate against American officials in response to killing of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani.
