The World Health Organisation's Director-General met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in the virus-affected country, according to an organisation spokesperson, as the death toll from the new infection rose above 100 in the nation.

World Health Organisation's Director-General met with Chinese President Xi Jinping in virus-affected country, according to an organisation spokesperson, as death toll from new infection rose above 100 in nation.

In a news conference in Geneva on Tuesday, Christian Lindmeier said Dr Tedros ham Ghebreyesus also h talks with country's Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Health Minister.

Ghebreyesus spoke about "health of Chinese and foreigners in outbreak areas" in his meetings with Chinese government officials, according to Lindmeier.

Lindmeier said Ghebreyesus h left Geneva on Sunday and was expected to leave China on Tuesday night.
