WHO: Coronavirus outbreak is 'emergency in China'

The World Health Organisation said on Tuesday that the global risk of the new deadly virus was "high" but insisted the infection was only an "emergency in China."

World Health Organisation said on Tuesday that global risk of new dely virus was "high" but insisted infection was only an "emergency in China." In a news conference in Geneva on Tuesday, Christian Lindmeier said coronavirus outbreak hn't reached a "very high" assessment risk globally as it was "t widely spreing outside of China."

Lindmeier also told journalists that infection wasn't a "public health emergency of international health concern" as it hn't met "three essential criteria" set by organisation. He also anunced that re have been 4,428 confirmed cases of infection in China, including 106 deaths. re were 45 or confirmed cases in 13 countries outside of China, Lindmeier said.
