World must consider Coronavirus 'public enemy number one', WHO warns

WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says the new coronavirus is a 'grave threat to the rest of the world' and 'Public Number 1'

According to World Health Organisation, China’s coronavirus outbreak is a 'very grave threat for rest of world' and should be viewed by or nations as 'Public Enemy Number 1'. comments were me by WHO director-general Tedros ham Ghebreyesus.

'Grave threat to rest of  world'

Tedros has urged countries to do all that y can to step up measures to detect and contain virus. Tedros was speaking at a research and invation forum regarding new coronavirus outbreak that has been sweeping through mainland China and has alrey been reported in several or countries.

During conference, Tedros also stated that Coronavirus is better at causing political, ecomic, and social upheaval than any terrorist attack. He furr urged countries and world leers to take threat of virus seriously and treat it as 'Public Enemy Number 1'.

Recently, WHO also officially named virus COVID-19. Regarding name, Tedros said that virus' official name does t have any geographical association in order to avoid stigma.

A vaccine in 18 months

WHO chief on Tuesday said that first vaccine aimed at combating China's dely new coronavirus could be available in 18 months.  WHO chief also ded that until a vaccine is developed countries around world must combat virus with everything that is available to m today.
