Women in Mexico City protest femicides, violence
Voices against femicide resounded on Saturday at the Mexico City building where Ingrid Escamilla was mutilated and murdered, in a case that has come to personify outrage over the rising incidence of gender-related killings.

Women's groups participated in capital and or Mexican cities to denounce once again lack of action by authorities.

apartment block in humble and unsafe neighbourhood where Escamilla lived, where a small altar was installed with flowers, photos and candles, became an improvised stage where women of all ages shared pain and testimony.
cries of "justice" or "no more" were repeated in street leing to Escamilla's house along which dozens of neighbours showed ir support by hanging purple cloth or cardboard next to photos of murdered young woman.

Twenty-five-year-old Escamilla was killed and dismembered by a man she allegedly lived with in Mexico City last week.
