COVID-19 pandemic: World leaders call for free, available to all ‘people’s vaccine’

According to a UN press te, world leers are demanding that all vaccines, treatments and tests be patent-free, mass-produced and distributed fairly. While South African President, Cyril Ramaphosa pushed for scientific research to be shared between countries and that vaccine is patent-free, Pakistan PM Imran Khan underscored need to work toger to beat dely virus.

signatories included former Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, former Prime Minister of United Kingdom Gordon Brown, former President of Mexico Ernesto Zedillo, and former Prime Minister of New Zealand Helen Clark. world leers also joined UN ncies and international financial institutions in calling for water sanitation and hygiene to be prioritised in battle against virus. leers said that actions discussed are first lines of defence, and central to stemming virus from spreing.
In a joint statement, leers said, "Our response plans – at national, regional and global levels – must, refore, prioritize water, sanitation and hygiene services”.

Furrmore, leers also vocated for working toger to improve water and sanitation services and said that everyone has something to offer to protect populations from COVID-19. y also believe that it is essential to ensure that water and sanitation systems are resilient and sustainable to protect people’s health and support national health systems.
Moreover, leers also stressed need to provide countries with financial support so y can equately respond to crisis. y believe that funding envelops need to be maintained with diversion away from commitments and priorities set for water, sanitation and hygiene sector. leers also called for delivery of accurate, transparent information, based on scientific vice which will enable everyone to act accordingly.
