Yemen hospital suffers in Houthi missile attack, eight people killed

One of the hospitals operating in the western Yemen region suffered destruction by a recent Houthi attack, an international medical relief agency informed media

Yemen hospital suffers Houthi attack

re have been several attacks on Yemen. In recent attack, Yemini military officials have accused Houthi rebels of firing missiles and drones on buildings located at Red Sea city of Al-Mocha.  Doctor Without Borders informed in a statement that hospital was shut down due to attack,  deaths and injuries have been reported among patients and patients were shifted to or hospitals in Red Sea city.

Mocha holds extreme significance as it is an international port for aid. UN-led negotiations have also been taking place on this port since December 2018 for a cease-fire.

MSF or Doctors Without Borders said y were providing free services to people injured during war. y opened a hospital in month of August in 2018. One of general doctors of hospital named Abdel-Rahman Ahmed told an international news ncy that patients in hospital ran after attack on a weapons warehouse. attack resulted in mass destruction.

Yemen and Houthi conflict

Yemen has been facing conflict for past five years. Houthi movement has controlled capital of Yemen, Sanaa and rrn region of country since 2014. Houthi movement in Yemen is supported by Iran and is in constant conflict with government of Yemen led by President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hi and supported by Saudi Arabia and United States. 

A Yemen government spokesman, Dobish, said that attacks at Red Sea city targetted Giants Brige. brige is a government-aligned force.

A Saudi-led coalition has been struggling with rebels since March 2015. Houthi rebels are being backed by Iranian forces hold Yemen's capital, Sanaa, and ar territory in Arab world's poorest country. war has become world's worst humanitarian crisis. violence has pushed Yemen to brink of famine and killed 100,000 people since 2015, according to US-based Armed Conflict Location & Event Data Project, or ACLED, which tracks conflict. UN investigators said Houthis' new UAV-X drone, found in recent months during Saudi-led coalition's war in Yemen, likely has a range of up to 1,500 kilometers (930 miles). That puts far reaches of both Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates in range.
