KTM launched the updated 2024 KTM 250 Duke in India, following a quiet rollout similar to the already existing 200 Duke. With a starting price of Rs 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom), the new 250 Duke aims to stay competitive in the Indian market with added features and minor updates. Apart from the additional features, the company is targeting some of its rivals and will wish to disrupt the market share with its all-new 2024 KTM 250 Duke.
Let us look at the updates of the 2024 KTM 250 Duke:
2024 KTM 250 Duke price and rivals
The 2024 KTM 250 Duke is priced at Rs 2.41 lakh (ex-showroom), a slight increase of Rs 2,000 over the outgoing model. The price hike is driven by the upgraded features the bike now offers. The 250 Duke competes with the Bajaj Dominar 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250 in the segment. The added features aim to give KTM an edge over its rivals, especially during the festive season.
2024 KTM 250 Duke features and upgrades:
The company has now updated the 2024 KTM 250 Duke with the inclusion of a 5-inch color TFT instrument screen, which was first seen on the KTM 390 Duke. This is now available in both the 200 and 250 Duke. This TFT screen supports Bluetooth connectivity and offers app-based controls for music and navigation. The bike also features a new 4-way menu control on the left switchgear for easier access to functions. The company claims that this upgrade replaces the older LCD unit, offering a better riding experience for the user. It continues to offer slipper and assist clutch, ensuring smoother gear transitions on the move.
2024 KTM 250 Duke Design:
The new 250 Duke retains the aggressive and sporty design language like other models in the lineup. The 2024 KTM comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a banana-shaped swingarm, underbelly exhaust, and single-disc brakes on both wheels, paired with dual-channel ABS for enhanced safety. The LED daytime running lights (DRLs) are inspired by the larger KTM 390 Duke, giving the bike a premium look.
The suspension duties are handled by upside-down (USD) telescopic front forks and an off-set mono-shock suspension at the rear.
2024 KTM 250 Duke engine specifications
The updated 250 Duke continues to be powered by the same 248cc DOHC, four-valve, single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. This engine delivers 29.5 bhp and 25 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox.
