New Dzire launched: Maruti Suzuki launched the fourth generation of the Dzire at Rs 6.79 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. The new Dzire recently scored a five-star safety rating in the Global NCAP crash test safety rating and has updated exteriors, interiors, and new features such as a sunroof, a wireless charger, and more. The Dzire gets a new engine, the Z-Series unit which also powers the Swift. The front gets a new shape for the LED headlamps, and the bumper and grill are revised. From the side, it is equipped with 15-inch alloy wheels and has a new design. The ORVMs are unchanged and get a 360-degree parking camera. At the rear, the taillamps are LED units, which are revised and connected with a chrome strip. It gets a new touchscreen infotainment and the dashboard has dual-tone treatment. The steering wheel is the same unit and the AC vents are revised. The rear seats come with an armrest and three-point seatbelt. This engine is a 1.2-litre inline three-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 82 BHP and 111 Nm torque, having less power as compared to the previous K-Series engine. This engine is mated to a five-speed manual or an AMT transmission.
