Skoda Kylaq competition: Skoda India recently launched the first sub-4m compact SUV, the Kylaq in India and priced at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Kylaq is based on the MQB A0 IN platform and is powered by a 1.0-litre TSI turbo petrol engine. The feature list consists of front-ventilated seats, a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a sunroof, and more. It competes in the sub-4m compact SUV segment, which consists of the Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon, and more.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza:
The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is a sub-4m compact SUV and it is a best seller in its segment. Brezza offers features such as a sunroof, automatic climate control, and more. The Maruti Suzuki Brezza is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and has a claimed fuel efficiency of 20.15 km/l for the manual variant. It has a slightly shorter wheelbase than the Skoda Kylaq and space can be compromised inside the cabin.

Tata Nexon
Tata Nexon scored a five-star safety rating in the Bharat NCAP and Global NCAP crash test safety rating. Nexon offers features such as a 360-degree camera, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, a digital instrument cluster, and more. Tata Nexon is offered with a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a 1.2-litre CNG option, giving a multitude of powertrain options. The ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of the Nexon is 17.44km/l for petrol manual. The width of Nexon is better, which results in better cabin space inside the cabin.

Kia Sonet:
The Kia Sonet is a feature-loaded sub-4m compact SUV and shares its underpinnings with the Hyundai Venue. The Kia Sonet offers features such as Level-2 ADAS, front-ventilated seats, ambient lights, rear sunshades, and more. Sonet is offered with a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.5-litre diesel engine, and a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine. The ARAI claimed fuel efficiency of the Sonet is 18.4 km/l for petrol manual. It has a slightly shorter wheelbase than the Skoda Kylaq and space can be compromised inside the cabin.
