SpaceX value nears $180 billion in tender offer: Report
SpaceX, currently valued at about $150 billion, stands as the world's second-most valuable closely-held startup.
Elon Musk's SpaceX is set to raise the price of insider shares to $97 apiece in an upcoming tender offer, marking an increase from the initially discussed $95 per share, according to sources familiar with the matter as per the media reports.
The potential tender offer, ranging from $500 million to $750 million, is expected to elevate the space and satellite company's valuation closer to $180 billion.
SpaceX, currently valued at about $150 billion, stands as the world's second-most valuable closely-held startup. As of now, there has been no response from SpaceX regarding these developments.
Recently, SpaceX has also announced a delay in the launch of the US military's X-37B robot spaceplane, which was originally scheduled for Wednesday. In a tweet on Tuesday, SpaceX stated, "We are standing down from tomorrow's Falcon Heavy launch of USSF-52 to perform additional system checkouts."
The initial plan to send the spacecraft into orbit on Sunday was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions at the Cape.
