Tata Steel appoints Akshay Khullar as VP, redesigns Peeyush Gupta's role
Peeyush Gupta, Tata Steel's VP of Group Strategic Procurement, will now lead Total Quality Management (TQM) in addition to his existing role.
Tata Steel has appointed Akshay Khullar as the Vice President of Engineering and Projects, according to a statement released on Monday. The company has also re-designated Peeyush Gupta as the Vice President of Total Quality Management (TQM), Group Strategic Procurement, and Supply Chain.
As part of the company's succession plan for senior management, Khullar will assume the role of Vice President of Engineering & Projects (Designate) from December 1, 2023, and officially take over as Vice President of Engineering & Projects from February 1, 2024.
Peeyush Gupta, who currently holds the position of Vice President of Group Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain, will now also lead the Total Quality Management (TQM) function alongside his existing responsibilities. Effective February 1, 2024, Gupta will be re-designated as the Vice President of TQM, Group Strategic Procurement, and Supply Chain.
Additionally, the regulatory filing announced the upcoming superannuation of Avneesh Gupta, the current Vice President of TQM and Engineering & Projects at Tata Steel. Avneesh Gupta, who has been associated with the company for over 37 years, will retire on February 1, 2024.
