Wipro unveils Cyber Defence Centre in Germany

Wipro further asserted that the centre will offer customised cybersecurity training exercises to clients.

IT major Wipro, on Wednesday, rolled out its Cyber Defence Centre (CDC) in Dusseldorf, Germany. 

Amid rising cyberattacks and increasing need of data protection, Wipro's Cyber Defence Centre will offer its clients round-the-clock cybersecurity monitoring, incident response, as well as remediation support, the company said in a statement.

Under the framework of Wipro's global partnership with Microsoft, the Cyber Defence Centre will make use of Microsoft's suite of cybersecurity products, including Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Defender for IoT (Internet Of Things) solutions.

“Our Cyber Defence Centre in Germany is an integral part of our strategy to expand our cybersecurity capabilities in Europe to provide advanced solutions to our customers. Cybersecurity is a business differentiator, and our capabilities are expanding to cloud-delivered services, including SaaS (Software-as-a-Service), IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service) as well as Operational Technology environments and IoT” said John Hermans, Head of Europe Cyber Security & Risk Services, Wipro.

Wipro further asserted that the centre will offer customised cybersecurity training exercises to clients, simulating real-world scenarios to assess and enhance their cyber defences and overall resilience.
