Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw has announced major railway development projects in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, aiming to transform the city into a major rail hub. The projects, with investments totalling thousands of crores of rupees, encompass various aspects of the railway infrastructure, including the expansion of rail lines and gauge conversions.

Key projects underway in Indore include the Ratlam-Indore-Mhow-Khandwa-Akola rail line, Indore-Manmad rail line, Indore-Dahod rail line, and Indore-Jabalpur rail line. These developments aim to enhance connectivity and boost the railway network in and around Indore.

Additionally, efforts are being made to modernise Indore's primary railway station and Laxmibai Nagar railway station, with plans to transform them into world-class facilities. Furthermore, a multi-modal cargo terminal is also in progress, which will facilitate the efficient transportation of goods and cargo.

The government's commitment to these projects demonstrates its dedication to making Indore a centre for railways, supporting the city's growth and connectivity.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, the Railway Minister, underlined the importance of these initiatives during the inauguration of the main election office for Ramesh Mendola, the BJP MLA from Indore-2, and the party's candidate for the upcoming assembly elections in Indore.

As the joint in-charge for the November 17 Madhya Pradesh assembly polls, Vaishnaw expressed confidence that the BJP would secure a substantial majority and continue to lead the government in Madhya Pradesh. The railway development projects are expected to play a vital role in the region's progress and connectivity.
