NBEMS has announced that NEET-PG 2024 will be conducted on August 11, 2024. The exam will be held in two shifts. Moreover, NBEMS in its official notice said that the cut-off date for eligibility will remain the same i.e., August 15, 2024.
The NEET PG 2024, originally scheduled for June 23, was postponed by the Ministry of Health on June 22 due to allegations of paper leaks and other discrepancies in competitive examinations. Prior to this, the exam was slated for March 3, then rescheduled to July 7, and subsequently to June 23.
The NEET PG 2024 exam is essential for admission to 13,886 Master of Surgery (MS) seats, 26,699 Doctor of Medicine (MD) seats, and 922 PG Diploma seats. The exam will be conducted online in a computer-based format, exclusively in English, with a duration of 3 hours and 30 minutes. It will be divided into three sections with sectional timing, comprising a total of 200 multiple-choice questions. The exam carries a total of 800 marks, with candidates earning 4 marks for each correct answer and losing 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
The health ministry had said it will undertake a thorough assessment of the robustness of the processes of the NEET-PG, conducted by the NBEMS along with its technical partner TCS for medical students.
