GATE 2025: The online registration window for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 will open tomorrow, August 24. Eligible and interested candidates will be able to register online at gate2025.iitr.ac.in. Read on to know full details on the exam schedule, steps to register, eligibility, application fee and others. 

Key Dates for GATE 2025 Registration

GATE 2025 registration begins: August 24
Last date to register for GATE 2025: September 26
Last date to register with an additional late fee: October 7
GATE 2025 Admit Card: January 2, 2025.
Exam Dates: February 1, 2, 15, 16, 2025
Result Date: March 19, 2025
Scorecards Download Window: March 28 to May 31, 2025

GATE 2025 Exam

The GATE 2025 examination is scheduled to take place on February 1, 2, 15, and 16, 2025. IIT Roorkee will conduct the exam in two shifts each day:
Forenoon session: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM (IST)
Afternoon session: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM (IST)

GATE 2025 Application Fee

Candidates will need to pay an application fee to finalize their registration. The fee structure is as follows:
SC/ST/PwD categories and female candidates: ₹900
All other candidates: ₹1,800

GATE 2025

The GATE 2025 exam will be a Computer-Based Test (CBT) for 30 different test papers conducted during both forenoon and afternoon sessions. 

"GATE 2025 will be conducted for 30 test papers. The following table shows the list of papers with codes. Please click the Paper/Code to download the syllabus. A candidate is allowed to appear either in one or up to two test papers," the official website reads.

All test papers under GATE 2025 will be conducted in English. A candidate can apply for either one or two test papers out of the combinations as listed. The GATE scores will be valid for three years from the date the results are announced.

IIT Roorkee is organizing GATE 2025. The exam is conducted jointly by IISc and seven IITs: IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee, under the National Coordination Board (NCB) – GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India.
