Indian Railway Recruitment: The Indian Railways' Western Region has invited online applications for recruitment against 5066 vacancies for the post of apprentices. The application begins today, September 23. The last date to apply is October 22. There are posts of Fitter, Welder, Turner, Machinist, Carpenter, Painter, Mechanic, Programming &amp; System Administration Assistant, and Electrician. Aspirants can apply online at rrcwr.com. Pay ScaleIn case of direct recruitment from the open market to posts/categories in Level – 1 (Rs. 18,000/- - Rs. 56,900/-), Course Completed Act Apprentices (CCAA) trained in Railway Establishments and possessing National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) will be given preference in filling up 20% vacancies on qualifying the requisite norms notified by RRB/RRC.Direct link to apply online.Eligibility CriteriaThe applicants should have completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as of 22/10/2024. 2.2 SC/ST/OBC- Relaxation in Upper age limit by 05 years in case of SC/ST applicants and 03 years in case of OBC Applicants. 2.3 Persons with Disability (PWD): The upper age limit is relaxed by 10 years. 2.4 Ex-servicemen-upper age limit is relaxed up to an additional 10 years.Direct link to check official notification.Selection ProcessSelection of the eligible applicants for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the applicants in both matriculation [with a minimum 50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
