PM Internship Scheme 2024:  In a significant initiative for the country's youth, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has launched a pilot project of the Prime Minister Internship Scheme. The objective of this scheme is to provide internship opportunities to students and address the issue of unemployment among young people. Prime Minister Modi aims to offer internships to 10 million youths over the next five years under this initiative.

The Prime Minister Internship Scheme aims to provide employment opportunities for youth across the country. Under this scheme, young people will have the chance to work in companies linked to the portal, with support from the Ministry of Corporate Affairs.

All About the PM Internship Scheme 2024:

Objective: To provide internship opportunities to youth and tackle unemployment.

Target: To offer internships to 10 million youths over the next five years.

Monthly Stipend: ₹5,000 per month (₹500 from the company and ₹4,500 from the government).

Duration: 12 months.

Eligibility: Higher secondary education (12th grade), ITI certificate, polytechnic diploma, or a degree (BA, BSc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, B.Pharma).

Age Limit: 21-24 years (as of the application deadline).

Who is Eligible for the PM Internship Scheme 2024?

Candidates applying for this internship program must have completed their higher secondary education or high school. They should also possess an ITI certificate, a diploma from a polytechnic institution, or a degree in fields such as BA, BSc, B.Com, BCA, BBA, or B.Pharma. The age of the candidates should be between 21 and 24 years by the application deadline. Candidates enrolled in online or distance education programs are also eligible to apply.

Financial Support During the Internship: 

Under this internship program, applicants will receive a monthly stipend of ₹5,000 for a duration of 12 months. The company will contribute ₹500 from its CSR funding, while the government will provide ₹4,500. Additionally, a one-time financial assistance of ₹6,000 will be available for incidental expenses. The government will also ensure insurance coverage for interns through various initiatives, with the premium costs covered by the government.
