Telangana schools shut on Novemebr 29, 30 due to assembly elections

All schools and colleges in Hyderabad will be closed for two days on November 29 and 30. The school holidays have been declared due to assembly elections in the state. The collector of Hyderabad tweeted regarding the holiday on Tuesday.
" In view of the Telangana Assembly Elections 2023, all educational institutions in Hyderabad district will remain closed on 29th and 30th Nov 2023. Regular activities resume on 1 Dec 2023,’ the collector tweeted.
The school teachers on election duties in Telangana have been asked to report at the booth by 7 am on November 29 for the preparation and handling of EVM machines for the voting day. Teachers are also asked to arrive at the designated schools, which will serve as polling centres and hence the academic activities will be affected due to unavailability of teachers.
Earlier, the state government had announced a public holiday on November 30 for all workers and employees in Telangana due to the upcoming assembly elections. Voting will be done on November 30 and the counting will be done on Sunday, December 3.
