After Swara Bhasker and Javed Akhtar, now Shabana Azmi and Prakash Raj have added heft to his campaign. Kumar had recently endorsed Raj’s political foray too, and the latter wrote that he can see ‘winds of change’ and ‘hope’ in the eyes of the people of Begusarai as he expressed his assurance about the ‘citizen’s voice in Parliament.'
Sharing pictures from his campaigning in Begusarai, Raj tweeted, “As I Campaign for @kanhaiyakumar through Rajora...meghaul... manjhaul...in #begusarai ... A day before, Raj had shared more pictures from the campaigning along with Shabana Azmi.
Raj has been in Bihar for close to a week now and has regularly conducted speeches and posted pictures on Twitter.
Earlier, Swara Bhasker had campaigned for Kanhaiya on her birthday.
Javed Akhtar too expressed his support to Kumar and even addressed an election meeting in Begusarai.
When Prakash had voted a few days ago, Kanhaiya had then tweeted in Raj's favour to elect him from Bengaluru constituency, saying ‘we need more such voices in the parliament.”
Sitaram Yechury, Yogendra Yadav, Shehla Rashid, are among the others who have supported Kumar’s campaign.
Kanhaiya is pitted against Union Minister Giriraj Singh, who will represent BJP. Begusarai is going to polls in the fourth phase on April 29.
