After the Supreme Court dismissed Lalu Prasad Yadav's bail plea on Wednesday, the RJD supremo has written a letter from jail asking his supporters to save democracy and Constitution.
In the letter, he also slammed the ruling party for a conspiracy against him which has led him to be sentenced to jail. He also asked people to fight like him in order to defeat the ruling party.
Below is his tweet in which he has posted the letter:
Earlier on Wednesday, Supreme Court dismissed Lalu Prasad Yadav's bail plea. Yadav, who has been in a hospital for about eight months now, had sought bail on medical grounds.
This comes after the Central Bureau of Investigation filed an affidavit before the opposing the bail plea of Yadav convicted in the fodder scam.
The CBI, which sought nod from a bench headed by Chief Justice Ranjan Gogoi to file its response to the bail plea of Lalu Yadav, said the RJD leader is likely to get involved in political activities and misuse the grant of bail ahead of upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
The probe agency said that in any case Lalu Yadav has been in a hospital ward for over eight months and indulging in political activities. "During the period in which the petitioner (Lalu Yadav) remained in hospital, he is not only granted a special paying ward with all facilities but he is virtually conducting his political activities from there which would be clear form the list of visitors," the CBI in its reply said.
