Taking forward its Bollywood-themed initiative, the Press Information Bureau (PIB) on Friday recreated a spin to the popular dialogue "Tumse na ho payega" from Gangs of Wasseypur 2, instead saying "Beta tumse ho jayega" (Child you can do it)!
"Beta tumse ho jayega " (Child you can do it), PIB coined, adding "Vote dene ka maan banaye ho toh lacchan thik hai tumhare ( If you have decided to vote, then your behaviour is fine)"
Following the trend of Bollywood themed-voting initiatives by the PIB, the Election Commission of India (ECI) that has used the catchphrase #DeshKaMahaTyohar with its name on Twitter, pulled in Aamir Khan’s '3 Idiots' and Olympian shuttler Saina Nehwal to ask people to vote. They (EC) have been using the hashtag #GoVote with their initiative.
In the '3 Idiots' reference, this time, Ranchordas, the iconic character of Aamir Khan gave lessons on voting, unlike his usual quirky life lessons, with his tagline ‘All is well.’ The poster showed a caricature of Aamir Khan saying: "All is well if you go to vote".
In another poster, Saina Nehwal revealed what is more important to her than winning a medal in his badminton match! The poster with a caricature of Nehwal said: "Getting a government of your choice is bigger than winning a medal."
In this election season, PIB has been posting Bollywood themed voting initiatives. Earlier, it had posted the character Mathura Das asking his superior, Major Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri to excuse him from voting, as he has other plans, from Sunny Deol's 'Border'.
The first phase of elections will begin on April 11, with vote-counting scheduled for May 23:
