A day after Exit Polls projected a second term for the BJP-led NDA in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, senior BJP leader and Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a scathing attacked at the Opposition.

Taking to Twitter on Monday, the BJP's Begusarai candidate wrote that after the Exit Poll, the entire Opposition, along with West Bengal CM and Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee and Andhra Pradesh CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, has reached to the "ICU politically".

He further stated that after May 23, when the Election Commission will declare the results of the 2019 polls, "all the Opposition leaders must repent themselves among the citizens so that they can attain political salvation". Read the tweet here:

On May 19, the CVoter Exit Poll predicted a clear win for the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi securing 287 seats - a majority - in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls with 42.3% vote-share.

As per the Lok Sabha projections by the Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll, NDA is projected to clinch an estimated seat-share between 295 and 315 in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Out of this, the BJP is predicted to secure an estimated seat-share between 254 and 274, with the 264 median falling eight seats short of the half-way mark.

In comparison, in 2014, the NDA had won a sweeping 336 seat share, with BJP alone winning 282 seats on its own.

Meanwhile, as per Jan Ki Baat Exit Poll, the remaining non-NDA and non-UPA parties or 'Others' are projected to win 102-125 seats, while as per CVoter, 'Others' are projected to win 127 seats.

The vote counting for the 2019 Lok Sabha polls will be held on May 23.
