In a major embarrassment to the Congress' Gandhi family, Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra has used the flag of Paraguay instead of the Indian flag to spread awareness about the 2019 Indian General elections on social media. Moments after placing his vote in the sixth phase of the 2019 polls on Sunday, Robert Vadra took to Twitter and shared a selfie with his inked finger.
In the Twitter post, he urged the voters to step out and vote to create a combined future for the loved ones and for a secular, safe, productive future of the country. After the message, he posted an emoticon of a flag. However, he posted the flag of Paraguay instead of the Indian flag in his message to voters.
The Indian flag is made from the tricolours - Green, white and Orange with the Ashoka Chakra in the centre of the white, while the flag of Paraguay consists of a red–white–blue triband.
Here is the post:
The Gandhi family stepped out of their home and went to vote in Delhi in the sixth phase of elections. Robert Vadra was accompanied by Congress' General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi also placed his vote in Delhi at a polling booth in NP Senior Secondary School in Aurangzeb Lane.
Accompanied by Sheila Dikshit, UPA Chairperson and sitting MP from UP's Raebareli Sonia Gandhi also cast her vote on Sunday in Nirman Bhawan poll booth in New Delhi.
