Rebel BJP leader and sitting MP from Patna Saheb, Shatrughan Sinha has gone on a Twitter rampage against his own party after he was overlooked for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls and replaced by Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad from the constituency.

While he chose not to address this matter in his latest remarks, the much famed actor-turned-politician raked up the matter of veteran leader LK Advani being overlooked in Gandhinagar for party president Amit Shah to slam his party.

Former deputy PM LK Advani was not given a ticket for the upcoming polls, and in his place, BJP chose its party president Amit Shah to fight from the Gandhinagar constitiuency.

While Shatrughan Sinha's tweets suggest he targeted BJP over the Advani matter, his attack can be related to him being replaced from the Patna Saheb constituency, given the development took place earlier in the same day.

Sinha was replaced and the decision to contest Ravi Shankar Prasad from the crucial Bihar seat was taken by the BJP's senior leadership at a meeting held at party's headquarters in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah.

These developments come amid speculation that Sinha may be given a ticket by the Congress party to contest the elections again from the Patna Sahib constituency.
