In a massive development, BJP candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency Gautam Gambhir has issued a defamation notice to AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Delhi CM Manish Sisodia and his election contender Atishi Marlena
In a massive development, BJP candidate from East Delhi Lok Sabha constituency Gautam Gambhir has filed a defamation case against AAP convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, Deputy Delhi CM Manish Sisodia and his election contender from AAP Atishi Marlena, hours after the leaders imposed allegations against the cricketer-turned-politician of circulating pamphlets with derogatory remarks about Atishi Marlena in the National Capital.
In the notice addressed to Atishi Marlena, Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia, Gambhir has denied any relation to the alleged pamphlet and/or deplorable contents.
"Statements made by the Noticees are baseless, without any foundation, extraneous, false and vexatious in nature as such statements have no iota of truth," the defamation notice reads.
He has asked the AAP leaders to withdraw all the statement made against him in the matter. The BJP leader has further demanded an unconditional and unqualified apology for defaming him with the false and baseless allegation.

This has come after AAP's East Delhi candidate Atishi Marlena on Thursday alleged that her opponent Gautam Gambhir circulated pamphlets that questioned her morals and contained objectionable and deeply offensive remarks about her.
Addressing a press briefing in the matter, Atishi broke down while reading the contents of the pamphlet, following which posed one question at BJP's Gautam Gambhir.
However, speaking exclusively to Republic Bharat, Gautam Gambhir had said that he will file a defamation case against the AAP leaders over their claims that he has circulated pamphlets with derogatory remarks against his contender Atishi Marlena.
"If they any proof against me, if you think I did that, then you can file a criminal case against me. I am ready to stand in any court and face any charges. But I will definitely file a defamation case. I will serve the legal notice If they have proof then I have already said that I will quit politics. The game should be fair," he added.
