Republic Double Exit Poll for Delhi: BJP projected to repeat 2014 performance, AAP and Congress likely swept away say CVoter and Jan Ki Baat

With the six-week long thrilling dance of democracy coming to an end on Sunday with the completion of the seventh and final phase of voting in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, all eyes are now fixated on the eventual fate of the seats in the poll fray across the 542 constituencies. With an estimated 900 million-strong electorate, the world's largest democracy now waits to learn of the composition of the 17th Lok Sabha and consequently, the next government of India.

With the six-week long thrilling dance of democracy coming to an end on Sunday with the completion of the seventh and final phase of voting in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, all eyes are now fixated on the eventual fate of the seats in the poll fray across the 542 constituencies. With an estimated 900 million-strong electorate, the world's largest democracy now waits to learn of the composition of the 17th Lok Sabha and consequently, the next government of India. 

Ahead of this, Republic Media Network has broadcast the largest exit poll - a mega double exit poll in collaboration with Jan Ki Baat and CVoter - which gives us the first and most detailed projection as to who will emerge triumphant on May 23

Delhi Projections: 

The national capital will see a triangular battle between BJP, Congress, and AAP over 7 seats. 

Delhi that went to polls on May 12 saw AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal running the party's campaign around the issue of 'statehood' for Delhi. Congress and AAP attempted to stitch an anti-BJP alliance, however, failed. During the electoral phase, a twitter skirmish was underway between the East Delhi contenders, Atishi Marlena of AAP and BJP's debutant and cricketer-turned-politician Gautam Gambhir, wherein the former accused the latter of distributing derogatory pamphlet.

Here are the predictions for Delhi: 

According to both the psephologists, the result of Delhi is projected to repeat in the second consecutive Lok Sabha elections as BJP is predicted to sweep single-handedly leaving either 1 or none for both Congress and AAP. Whereas, according to the CVoter BJP is predicted to have a vote-share of 43.8%, followed by Congress at 25.7% and AAP at 22.5%

In 2014, while the BJP secured all the seats, AAP formed a government in the Assembly elections by winning 67 out of the 70 assembly seats in 2015.
