BJP chief Amit Shah meets 'valiant foot soldier' in West Bengal's Joynagar, claims he was attacked by 'TMC goons'

Amid the poll campaigning in West Bengal, BJP chief Amit Shah met 'foot soldier' Shribas Gayen in Joynagar. The BJP chief alleged that Gayen was brutally injured by Trinamool Congress "goons".

Taking to social media, Amit Shah shared glimpses of his meeting with the injured man. In the tweet, BJP's candidate from Gandhinagar saluted him and expressed his gratitude towards the party workers of West Bengal who he said have been "working hard to uproot TMC’s goondaraj".

He further hit out at West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, saying, "Mamata Didi your violence cannot stop BJP from bringing back the lost glory of Bengal".

Sharing more pictures from a public meeting in Rajarhat, West Bengal, Amit Shah wrote, "Time up for Mamata Didi".

Addressing a rally in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas, BJP chief Amit Shah said that Trinamool chief Mamata Banerjee has turned 'sonar Bangla' to 'Kangal' (poor) Bangla. 

On Monday, the BJP lashed out at West Bengal government alleging that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's administration has denied permission to a rally by its president Amit Shah.

Shah was scheduled to hold a rally in Jadhavpur Monday but the state administration denied permission for it last night and also withdrew its nod to the landing of Shah's chopper in the constituency, BJP leader and Union minister Prakash Javadekar told reporters

Voting for the 42 seats in West Bengal is scheduled across all the seven phases of the national elections, with the remaining 9 seats set to vote in the last round on May 19.
