PM Narendra Modi to address mega rallies in West Bengal, Tripura, Manipur today

Taking forward his campaign blitz, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing three rallies on Sunday in three different states.  Informing about the rallies, the PM tweeted that he will be addressing mega rallies at Cooch Behar district of West Bengal, at Udaipur  in Tripura and at Imphal, the capital city of Manipur.

Taking forward his campaign blitz, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing three rallies on Sunday in three different states.

The BJP is intending to make inroads in the state of West Bengal that sends 42 MPs to the Lok Sabha. the party has emerged as the main opposition against the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool. The state polls on all seven phases beginning from April 11. Earlier in his rally, the PM alleged that Mamata Banerjee was the 'speed breaker' in the development of the state. 

While the BJP is in power in Maniour with N Biren Singh being the CM, the Congress holds the two Lok Sabha seat in the state. Earlier, party president Amit Shah in his election rally said that 'Manipur was in the safe hands of Chief Minister Nongthombam Biren Singh, a “true chowkidar” by virtue of having served in the Border Security Force.'

In Tripura, the BJP ousted 25 years of Left Front's rule by defeating Manik Sarkar in the assembly elections in 2018. It is aiming to register the same win in the two seats for the general elections.

The counting of all the phases of the polls takes place on May 23.
