Training their guns at the BJP and PM Narendra Modi and party chief Amit Shah, the AAP has claimed that there is a political conspiracy by the party behind the attack on its chief Arvind Kejriwal.
The Delhi CM was slapped on Saturday during a roadshow. The attacker has been identified as Suresh, from Kailash Park area and has been taken to Motinagar police station for questioning.
Accusing the Centre of failing to provide effective security, several leaders from AAP have alleged that the attack was a conspiracy by the BJP.
AAP's East Delhi candidate Atishi Marlena has spoken on the incident alleging a conspiracy.
She tweeted saying that the attack was an indicator showing how low BJP can stoop. She alleged that the party had attacked Kejriwal ahead of the Delhi assembly polls but AAP had won the elections, and hence, even in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, the party will win all seats.
AAP leader and Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia tweeted saying, "Do Modi-Shah want to kill Kejriwal? Since you could not break his will, defeat him in the elections despite using all force for the last five years, you want to remove him from the race in this way, you cowards!"
Party leader Sanjay Singh also spoke about the attack asking whether there is a political conspiracy behind the attack.
"The Modi government is responsible for Delhi CM Kejriwal's security but his life is in utmost danger. Is there a conspiracy behind the attack? If you have the guts, attack us from the front than using others as your weapon," he tweeted
