As per a tweet posted by BJP Bengal, while addressing a rally, Amit Shah had said: "Mamata Didi has made 'Sonar Bangla' to 'Kangal Bangla'. She has ruined the glory of Bengal.
BJP president Amit Shah was scheduled to address multiple rallies in West Bengal state ahead of the last phase of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. However, as per sources, he was allegedly denied permission by the West Bengal government to hold a roadshow in state's Jadhavpur district. Sources added that permission to even land his chopper was denied.
Amit Shah addressed a rally in West Bengal's Joynagar, wherein he lashed out at the Mamata Banerjee government for blocking his rally in the state.
"I was to visit 3 places today, but Mamata's ji's nephew is contesting from one of the seats so she is scared her nephew will lose, and that's why she cancelled the permission for our rally," he said addressing a rally.
