Gujarat Exit Poll Result: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to claim victory by winning 24 to 26 seats in Gujarat in the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, leaving 2 or no seats for Congress, as per Republic-PMARQ and Republic Martize. As India awaits for the results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections scheduled for June 4, Republic brings to you double and highly authentic Exit Polls in collaboration with P-Marq and Matrize pollsters immediately after the last vote is cast in the polling booth. BJP is likely to win over 350 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections. On Saturday, June 1, India, concluded voting for the seventh and final phase of the world's biggest elections.

The Lok Sabha elections for all 26 seats of Gujarat was held on May 7 in Phase 3  with several prominent leaders including Union Ministers Amit Shah, Parshottam Rupala and Mansukh Mandaviyain the fray. This year some 266 candidates were in the fray.

As the polling day concluded, Prime Minister Modi on X said, "India has voted!  A heartfelt thank you to all those who exercised their franchise. Their active participation is the cornerstone of our democracy. Their commitment and dedication ensures that the democratic spirit thrives in our nation.  I would also like to specially appreciate India’s Nari Shakti and Yuva Shakti. Their strong presence at the polls is a very encouraging sign."

P-MARQ, Matrize Exit Poll Results For Gujarat:

  • According to Republic-PMARQ prediction the BJP is likely to secure 24 to 26 seats, while the  Congress-led opposition will settle with just 2 or even 0 seats.
  • The saffron party is expected to garner a vote share of 63 per cent, while the Congress will record 34 per cent share, according to the Republic-PMARQ prediction.
  • As far as the national outcome is concerned, the BJP will likely get a third term at the Centre with 359 seats, of which BJP will bag 316 seats alone. Meanwhile, the INDI alliance will fall flat as the Republic-PMARQ exit poll results predict that it will get 154 seats, of which Congress will get 66.

What Happened in 2019 Gujarat Elections?

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, exit polls predicted a clean sweep in the Modi-Shah bastion, which turned out to be true on the counting day. The BJP won all 26 seats in Gujarat, while the Congress failed to win a single seat.  

Polling was held on 25 seats in Gujarat as the BJP won Surat uncontested after the nomination of the Congress candidate was rejected and most of the intended candidates withdrew. Union Home Minister Shah and his Cabinet colleagues Mansukh Mandaviya and Parshottam Rupala were in the fray from Gandhinagar, Porbandar, and Rajkot seats, respectively, among 265 candidates in 25 constituencies. PM Modi cast his vote at Nishan School in the Ranip area in Ahmedabad, Shah exercised his franchise at a polling booth in the Naranpura area, both of which fall under the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha seat.

The Congress has fielded candidates on 24 seats, while 2 seats went to AAP as per the seat-sharing arrangement of the INDI alliance.
