The eagerly-awaited results of the Lok Sabha elections for the North Eastern states of Manipur, Mizoram, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Sikkim, and Tripura have been declared. The counting of votes has begun at 8 AM, determining the political future of these regions. In the seven North Eastern states, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, and Tripura have two Lok Sabha seats each, while Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim have one seat each. Historically led by regional parties, the political landscape has been shifting as the BJP has made significant inroads since 2014. The 2024 Lok Sabha elections in these states concluded with Phase 2 polling on Friday, April 26.

 In Meghalaya's Shillong, DR. RICKY ANDREW J. SYNGKON  of Voice of the People Party has won with a total of 571078 votes.

In Tura of Meghalaya, SALENG A SANGMA of Congress has won with a total of 383919 votes.

In Mizoram, RICHARD VANLALHMANGAIHA of Zoram People's Movement has won.

IN Nagaland, S SUPONGMEREN JAMIR of INC has won.

In Sikkim, INDRA HANG SUBBA of SKM has won with a total of 164396 votes.

In Outer Manipur, ALFRED KANNGAM S ARTHUR of Congress has won. 

 In Inner Manipur, ANGOMCHA BIMOL AKOIJAM of INC has won.

Tripura West: BIPLAB KUMAR DEB of BJP  has won.

Tripura East: Kriti Devi Debbarman of BJP has won  with a total of 777447 votes.
