Pune Election Results 2024 LIVE UPDATES: The counting of votes for the seven constituencies in Pune district including Junnar, Ambegaon, Khed Alandi, Shirur, Daund, Indapur, and Baramati begins as results of the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly elections will be declared shortly. 

The Maharashtra election results will seal the fate of Mahayuti and Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). The ruling Mahayuti alliance of CM Eknath Shinde -led Shiv Sena, Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ), and the Nationalist Congress Party ( Ajit Pawar camp) are tied in a battle with the MVA alliance, comprising the Congress and the breakaway faction of Sena and NCP.

Voters cast their ballots on November 20, 2024, for all 288 Assembly seats across the state, with the final voter turnout recorded at 66.05%, an increase from 61.1% in the 2019 elections.

Junnar: Known for its historical significance as the birthplace of Maratha warrior Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Junnar holds cultural importance. In the 2019 elections, Atul Vallabh Benke of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) won the seat by securing 74,958 votes. He defeated Sharad Sonawane of Shiv Sena, who garnered 65,890 votes.

This time, Benke faces multiple independent candidates, with key contenders including Devram Sakharam Lande from VBA and Satyashil Sopansheth Sherkar from NCP(SP).

Baramati: The Baramati constituency saw a voter turnout of 71.03%. The seat has traditionally been a stronghold of the NCP, with Ajit Anantrao Pawar, seeking re-election. His main challenger is Yugendra Srinivas Pawar from NCP (SP). Given the constituency's history, this result is anticipated with much interest.
