On Sunday, March 24, he took to Twitter and addressed a message to veteran actors Anupam Kher, Kabir Bedi and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur requesting them to contribute to the cause. Acknowledging the achievements of the Bollywood celebrities on International platforms, PM Modi wrote, "The formidable @AnupamPKher, multifaceted @iKabirBedi and the widely acclaimed @shekharkapur have made India very proud at the world stage. My appeal to them- can you tell fellow Indians to vote in large numbers in the upcoming elections? #VoteKar "

PM Modi a few days back posted a series of tweets encouraging the voters of India to turn out in huge numbers in the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 elections that are scheduled to take place in April-May. He urged the leaders of Bollywood, by tagging them on Twitter to create awareness among the citizens on the importance of voting, which is a paramount task in front of the nation currently.
Introducing the 'Vote Kar' campaign in Twitter on Sunday, March 24, he wrote, "My fellow Indians, The time has come to say- #VoteKar. In the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, ensure that you as well as your family and friends turn out in record numbers. Your doing so will have a positive impact on the nation’s future."
