In the wake of his passing, actor Abhishek Bachchan postponed the release date of Ghoomer's trailer.

Abhishek Bachchan recently took to his Twitter handle to announce on behalf of his Ghoomer team that the trailer will not be released on August 3. Now, the trailer of Ghoomer will be released on a new date. This decision was taken "as a mark of respect" to Nitin Desai, who died on August 2.

Abhishek Bachchan further stated that the team of Ghoomer will release the trailer a day after on August 4. Also, the trailer released function which was going to be held in Mumbai on August 2 has also been shifted to another day to offer condolences to the noted art director. The Guru actor's tweet came hours after Akshay Kumar decided to postpone the release date of OMG 2 trailer.
Akshay Kumar postpones the trailer release date of OMG 2
Earlier today, Akshay Kumar announced on his social media handles that the trailer of OMG 2 will release at 11 am on August 3 instead of August 2. This decision was taken after the news of Nitin Desai's death shook the entertainment industry. He tweeted, "Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity." He further offered his condolences and mentioned that his demise was a huge loss as he had worked with him previously.
What happened to Nitin Desai?
Nitin Desai was well-known for creating sets of the films like Lagaan, Devdas, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Jodhaa Akbar, and more. The art director died by suicide on August 2 and was found hanging at his studio in Karjat. While an investigation into the matter is underway, PTI reports claimed that he "had defaulted on a Rs 252 crore loan to its financial creditor, and a bankruptcy court had admitted an insolvency petition against his company last week."
