Abhishek Bachchan says wife Aishwarya Rai does 'heavy lifting' at home: Eternally grateful

Abhishek Bachchan is gearing up for the release of his film Ghoomer. The movie is being premiered at the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne. Recently, during a promotional interview for the film, the actor spilled beans about his personal life.

Abhishek Bachchan talks about making time for his family 

Abhishek Bachchan is often expected to work at erratic timings, as are other actors. The Ghoomer actor opened up about how this affects the time he spends with his family and the compromises he has to make of the same. Talking to Humans of Bombay Abhishek claimed that because of work, sometimes, he is not able to spend as much time with his family as he would like to.

The actor then credited his wife for taking care of their daughter, when he is not around. He said, “Aishwarya does all the heavy lifting and I love her and thank her for that, and she does it so selflessly and she just does a great job, so you know, I’m eternally grateful.” For the unversed, Aishwarya is also an actor but has taken up sporadic jobs after the birth of her daughter. She recently headlined the film Ponniyan Selvan II. 

Abhishek Bachchan says they are like any other ‘normal’ family

The actor went on to talk about his wife and how she manages all chores when he cannot give his undivided attention. He added, “Sometimes you come back from work and you’re tired or whatever, so you might not be as effervescent as you should be, but you know, I think being an actor, she understands that. We’re a very normal family, you know.” He concluded by saying that he loves to spend as much time as he can with family and be ‘normal’ with them.
