Adnan Sami's son Azaan in a recent interview to a media publication has spoken about the reason why he chooses to work in Pakistan, while his father is a proud Indian citizen.

Adnan Sami's son Azaan on working in Pakistan:
Speaking about it, the 26-year-old stated that he has never spoken about this before as Sami is his father and he chooses to respect him. "He ( Adnan Sami) has made certain decisions of where he wants to live. What I choose to call home now is my choice and I chose to work in Pakistan, " he said.
He then went on to speak about the relationship between him and his father, Adnan Sami and termed it as "topsy turvy". Calling him his mentor, he stated that he often seeks advice from him about his work and that as he has not spent much time with him, his relationship with Sami is that of a friend and mentor more.
For the uninitiated, Azaan is Adnan Sami's only son with first wife, actor Zeba Bakhtiar, whom he parted ways with three years ago.

Sami's patriotic reply:
Pakistani-origin singer Adnan Sami, who has time and again received flak on social media by Pakistani users for being a proud Indian citizen, took to his Twitter handle to display his patriotism towards the country. A user took to social media asking him why he does not have a UK citizenship, given the fact that he was born there. Responding to it, Sami replied that he loves India.

Singer Adnan Sami was born in London to a Pakistani diplomat father and his mother was from Jammu and Kashmir. The singer relocated to India in the late 1990s and took Indian nationality on January 1, 2016, after giving up his Pakistani citizenship.
