Greta's speech at UN headquarters:
Swedish environmental activist Greta Thunberg spoke at the United Nations Headquarters on Monday. The 16-year-old activist addressed the crowd with a powerful speech and spoke about the need to focus on the environment. She also spoke about the dramatic increase in carbon emissions over the years.
"How dare you think that this can be sold as business as usual and some technical solutions. With today's emissions levels, that remaining CO2 budget will be entirely gone in less than eight and a half years. There will be no solutions or plans presented in lines with these figures here today. Because these numbers are too uncomfortable and you are still not mature enough to tell it like it is, " said Greta Thunberg.
