After winning hearts with her role as Kritika Aggarwal in recent science drama 'Mission Mangal', Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu recently announced her upcoming sports drama 'Rashmi Rocket'. The actor recently unveiled the first motion poster of the movie on her Twitter handle which features her dressed in salwar kurta coupled with a choker around her neck and a big nose pin. Her tattoed neck and fingers and curly locks will definitely leave you intrigued.

The motion poster, featuring Taapsee's character Rashmi, running in the sand dressed up in salwar kurta, and a few moments later she can be seen transported to a race track where she can be seen running in sportswear.

Akshay Kumar hails Taapsee Pannu's 'Rashmi Rocket'

As the first look unveiled, Taapsee Pannu's 'Mission Mangal' co-star Akshay Kumar took to Twitter to cheer for her. He shared the motion poster of 'Rashmi Rocket' and gave a shout-out to Taapsee saying, "This ROCKET is set for her next MISSION and she's off to the tracks!"

Rashmi Rocket

'Rashmi Rocket' is the second film where Taapsee Pannu will be portraying the role of an athlete after 2018 hit film 'Soorma' which also starred Diljit Dosanjh. Although nothing has been revealed about the plot of the film, 'Rashmi Rocket' seems to be the story of a girl from a small village who aspires to become a successful athlete one day. In the post, the actress has revealed that the film will go on floors soon. 

'Rashmi Rocket' will be helmed by Akarsh Khurana, who had last helmed the 2018 comedy-drama 'Karwaan'. The film will be jointly produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand and Pranjal Khandhdiya.

Mission Mangal

Akshay Kumar and Taapsee Pannu's latest outing 'Mission Mangal' has been showered with lots of praise. The film celebrates the success of ISRO's Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM) which made India the first country to launch its satellite in Mars' orbit in the first go. 'Mission Mangal' which emerged as Akshay Kumar's biggest opener has attained yet another remarkable feat by crossing Rs. 175 crore mark on Friday, August 20. 

 As per media reports, the 'Mission Mangal' was also recently announced tax-free in the state of Maharashtra for its educational value. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Taapsee, the film also stars Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Kriti Kulari and Nithya Menon in pivotal roles. 'Mission Mangal' is produced by Cape of Good Films, Hope Productions, and Fox Star Studios and released on August 15, 2019.

What's next for Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu is currently awaiting the release of her yet another sports biopic 'Saand Ki Aankh'. The film which is based on the lives of world's oldest sharpshooters -- Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar also stars Bhumi Pednekar in the lead. 

What's next for Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar has a number of films in the pipeline for release. He will be starring in the upcoming venture, 'Housefull 4', 'Good News',  'Laxmi Bomb' and Rohit Shetty's 'Sooriyavanshi' which is slated for a 2020 release.
