Akshay mourns Lagaan Art Director Nitin Desai's death, postpones OMG 2 trailer launch

Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 trailer launch has been postponed "out of respect" for Lagaan and Jodha Akbar Art Director Nitin Desai, who is found dead at his Studios Wednesday morning. Akshay took to Twitter to mourn the late art director and production designer's demise and shared that his upcoming film OMG 2's trailer which was to launch today (August 2), will now be released on August 3 at 11 am.

Akshay Kumar postpones OMG 2 trailer launch
Akshay Kumar recently took to his social media handles to announce that the trailer launch of OMG 2 has been postponed to pay their last respect to veteran art director Nitin Desai. He further offered his condolences and revealed that the makers will release the trailer of the film on August 3. He tweeted, "Unbelievably sad to know about the demise of Nitin Desai. He was a stalwart in production design and such a big part of our cinema fraternity."
Akshay Kumar further mentioned in his tweet that Nitin had worked on several of his films and "this is a huge loss." He mentioned that out of respect he and the makers of the film will not be releasing the OMG 2 trailer on August 2. The trailer will now be released at 11 am tomorrow (August 2).
Who was Nitin Desai and what happened to him?
Nitin Desai was a renowned Bollywood arty director and he was well-known for his work in the films like Jodhaa Akbar, Devdas, Lagaan, and others. He was found dead in his Karjat studio today. As per PTI reports, he had "defaulted on a Rs 252-crore loan to its financial creditor, and a bankruptcy court had admitted an insolvency petition against his company last week." Meanwhile, an investigation into the matter is underway.
