CBFC member says following routine process with OMG 2

Amrish Pathak, CBFC Board Member, Delhi Region spoke to Republic Media Network and explained that the decision to refer OMG 2 to a reviewing committee is a routine one. He said, “Whenever any film comes for certification to the Central Board of Film Certification, as a routine process it gets referred to a reviewing committee. The committee reviews the film and based on the findings it suggests required cuts and changes in the film as per rules and regulations.”

Amrish went on to add that films with religious themes are 'reviewed carefully'.

“In context with the movie OMG-2, there might be some issue, which would have definitely been raised before the film-makers, if the committee would have come across. However, reviewing of the movie and cuts suggestion is a confidential matter that is done behind the doors, it can’t be revealed. But, yes the films having religious themes are reviewed carefully as per provided guidelines,” added the member..
