Alia Bhatt recently made her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone. In a promotional makeup video, the actress revealed Ranbir’s reaction to her applying lipstick that went viral on social media. The netizens called him out for his “controlling behaviour” and labeled him as “toxic.”

  • Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor got married in April last year.
  • The couple welcomed their first child the same year and named her Raha.

Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t like Alia Bhatt applying lipstick

In a beauty secrets video with Vogue, Alia gave lessons on how to create her go-to natural full-face makeup without foundation. In the section where she applies the lipstick, Alia is heard discussing the lip colour she is smitten with and wore to her wedding to Ranbir.

The actress remarked, "The way I apply my lipstick is not considered [normal]. It's a bit weird." Then she went on to use the lipstick to add colour to her lips while moving her mouth over it to demonstrate to the audience how she does it. She then wiped it off to give her lips a subtle hue.

Talking about the reason behind wiping off the lipstick, Alia said, "I thought, that was just something that I worked out for myself and then, I rub it off. Because one thing my husband [when he wasn't my husband when he was my boyfriend as well] says when we used to go out at night, he used to say 'Wipe that [lipstick] off. Wipe that off'. Because he loves the natural colour of my lip."

Ranbir Kapoor trolled for his "controlling" behaviour

While Alia found this to be a sweet aspect of their relationship, not everyone online agreed. They referred to Ranbir as a "red flag," a word for someone who might not be suitable for a romantic engagement. People are making fun of the actress, claiming that she revealed the Barfi star to be a fairly toxic and domineering boyfriend.
