This comes months after Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated venture Inshaallah featuring Salman Khan and Alia Bhatt was shelved. The project, co-produced by Salman and Bhansali's banners, marked their first collaboration in two decades where Salman, 53, was supposed to play the lead. Besides Gangubai Kathiawadi, Alia Bhatt will be next seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra and father Mahesh Bhatt's Sadak 2. Both the films are slated for 2020 release.
