Touted to be a historical drama, the movie, has an ensemble cast consisting of Ranveer Singh, Vicky Kaushal, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Bhumi Pednekar, Janhvi Kapoor and Anil Kapoor. Reportedly, the movie is based on the family feud between Mughul Emperors Aurangazeb and Dara Shukoh for the inheritance of the throne.
