Paa is a 2009 comedy-drama that starred Amitabh Bachchan,  Abhishek Bachchan, and Vidya Balan in the leading roles. The movie depicted the life and death of a 12-year old boy named Auro who is played by Amitabh Bachchan. He suffers from a rare genetic disorder known as progeria, which causes him to age five times faster than normal and hence, appears extremely aged even though he is only a teenager. The condition that Auro suffers from gives the movie a lot of emotional weight.

Waqt: The Race Against Time

Waqt: The Race Against Time is a 2005 movie that starred popular actors Amitabh Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar and Shefali Shah in the lead roles and was directed by Vipul Shah. The movie is an emotional portrayal of a dysfunctional family, where the son's irresponsibility creates a divide between him and his father. Amitabh Bachchan plays the father Ishwar who wants his son Aditya, played by Akshay Kumar, to finally act responsibly, especially after he elopes and marries his girlfriend Pooja, who ends up getting pregnant. However, not known to anyone else, Ishwar is suffering from lung cancer and is dying. So it is a race against time for him to get his son Aditya to realize his responsibilities.

Black is a beautiful movie that not only shows the strong bond between a student and teacher but also shows how anyone can overcome the odds if they try hard enough. The movie stars Rani Mukerji and Amitabh Bachchan in the two lead roles of the student and teacher. Rani Mukerji plays the role of Michelle McNally, a girl who lost both her sight and hearing at the age of two, while Amitabh plays the role of her mentor Debraj Sahai, who is a skilled teacher for the blind and deaf but is also an arrogant and abusive alcoholic. The movie depicts the journey of how Michelle learns to communicate even though she is blind and deaf and how Debraj is essential to her process of learning throughout her life, even though the methods he uses are harsh. Upon its release in 2005, Black was the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide and won several awards and accolades.
